During the coldest and darkest night of the year, the 13th of December, Scandinavians and Romans celebrate Santa Lucia. This night honors the Christian martyr who is often called the bearer of light. Lucia of Syracuse wore a wreath of light to be able to bring as much food as possible for those hiding in the Roman catacombs during the Great Persecution. In this poster, the Seer of Light embodies the spirit of Saint Lucy, bringing us light during the shortest days of the year. God Jul! (That means Merry Christmas.)
